It’s a Maker’s Night. Mike Spanjar will share his infamous Maker’s Mark (or brand of your choosing) bourbon Manhattan recipe. The evening’s discussion is also for “makers.” Mike recently developed an interest in making wood projects, such as toys for his grandson. What type of crafty hobby are you engaged in on the side? Ingredients for the Manhattan:
Maker’s Mark (or your favorite) bourbon
Rye
Sweet vermouth
Angostura bitters
Maraschino cherries
Accessories:
Small cocktail glass or martini glass
Cocktail shaker
Jigger or other measuring device that can measure a liquid ounce
Ice
Option: Non-alcoholic Manhattan
1 ounce unsweetened apple juice
1 ½ ounces sweet non-alcoholic red wine
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Angostura bitters
Maraschino cherries
