Welcome to the Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid (CBINT) Sisterhood. We are the local chapter of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ), an international organization made up of 500 synagogue Sisterhoods and Women’s Groups.
Sisterhood hosts great local programs, from cooking and craft classes, to mah jongg and book clubs. Other regular programs include Women’s Voice lecture series, Campfire Sing a long, and Torah Fund High Tea. Whether online or in real life, there is something enjoyable for all our members!
Sisterhood supports our synagogue through volunteer work. Our members bake desserts for kiddushim, Hanukkah Cookies, Hamentashen, and challah. The group also supports youth group events, the CBINT religious school, social action activities, and runs The Glass Box gift shop. Beyond CBINT, Sisterhood supports local special needs initiatives, community education efforts, and goes beyond Milwaukee to champion the Jewish Theological Seminary, directly and through scholarships.
We meet monthly to talk about our projects and progress.
